MENU
Biological solutions for sugar mill wastewater, including restarting the microbial system after the off-season.
Sugar mill wastewater has a high organic load and is often short of nitrogen and phosphorus. After the off-season the microbial population declines and has to be reactivated before the mill runs at full load.
| Area | What we look at | CARES® product |
|---|---|---|
| Anaerobic tank | Reactivating the anaerobic system when the mill restarts | CARES® Biogas Booster |
| Aerobic tank | Recovering floc and stabilizing SV30 — the link that decides effluent quality | CARES® Bio WWT |
| Sludge house, by-products | Odor at the sludge house and filter press; organic by-products can be composted | CARES® Bio Odor, CARES® Bio Compost |
Physico-chemical treatment keeps its own role; CARES® does not add microbes at that step.
